To whom it may concern,
I need to raise an objection to your department and Lancaster University.
I tried to pay my tuition fees via the university's on-line payment system and found out that the 'country' column lists my country 'Taiwan' as 'Taiwan, Province of China'. This is a huge mistake. Taiwan is an independent country whose official name is 'Republic of China'. We are NOT a part of the PRC.
I believe that the University should equally respect all overseas students from different countries. There are about 70-80 Taiwanese students in Lancaster University every year. The way you list our country is a serious assault to all of us from Taiwan. It is a truly unwise and unacceptable error to a university who claims to 'welcome' international students. I think this will be a fair reason to stop other Taiwanese students from coming to this university.
I sincerely hope Lancaster University can correct the mistake as soon as possible.
